He Begs Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

He Begs

Do you know him?
I know him,
He is very simple,
His soul is clean,
He is deaf and dumb
And he begs everyday
In the busy railway station,
Where I see him very often,
He is satisfied with very little
Which people give him in his bowl,
He smiles like a child,
Without guile,
As I see him,
I forget the blemishes of this selfish realm
And smile like him with a clean soul.

A calm pathos decorated by the smile of a dumb and deaf begger...
