Shahzia Batool @Hasmukh Mehta: we want no hatred call...thank you for the poem with ideas and the lines u wrote as a comment...i'm grateful to Diya Khan for the flower-basket and the quote, Sadiqullah Khan thanks so much for hearing all the voices on your wall...and the likes! 7 hours ago · Unlike · 2
Sadiqullah Khan Pami Jane Tennant In a tremendously moving work such as this, I cannot bring myself to offer up any type of critique, only say this one thing which is what I have said before on forcing rhyme...sometimes if you can't find the word to smoothly rhyme, perhaps assonance or no rhyme is best. Having said that, which comes from my own training in learning and teaching poetry, your poem is very noble and deeply stirring. Loss of life in situations of wartime are always deeply disturbing, especially in light of how capricious the leaders are of the lives given to serve. It is my own firm belief that the leaders of various governments should be forced to fight their own battles instead of hiding behind the blood of the innocent...oh but wait...that would mean...GASP...and end to war! ! ! ! God bless you for the honesty you always write with! ! ! 26 minutes ago · Like · 1
George T. Everette hmm, maybe you could replace the juvenile word scary with a more mature think. 18 minutes ago · Like · 1
Diya Khan Though we are dwelling in terrible times But we have the voices strong to say: We are not “the hollow-men” We are not “the stuffed-men” Do not try to make us cry We say NO to the war-cry… Raised by the thundering clouds! ! !
Shahzia Batool We are not impotent We all need peace No matter our joint-skies are packed With alarming lightening and the thundering clouds No matter our not-gods are behaving silly Undeserving to rule the throne of hearts The Director of the stage of life directs only love-stories Written in the ink of peace We are but the loyal actors We shall act out the role of peace We shall sing the notes of ease Composed on a harp of love and joy Though we are dwelling in terrible times But we have the voices strong to say: We are not “the hollow-men” We are not “the stuffed-men” Do not try to make us cry We say NO to the war-cry… Raised by the thundering clouds! ! !

Impotent now but stronger much soon. All should come together in unity. Together you stand divided you fall! Nice write.
