Have Always Been There Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Have Always Been There

Rating: 5.0

Your arms have been there as far back
As I can remember.
To catch me whenever I fall
To offer a warm & tender embrace.
You looked after me and taught me
To be tough & to appreciate the simple things
Life has to offer.
I am so blessed to have learned that at a young age.
That point driven home by the
Cheerful sound of your voice.
You've given everything beyond hearts content
Lord knows you didn't have to,
& for that I am, & will always be
forever grateful.
Even if just one of my wishes were to come true,
it would be to sit with you like we did
when we both were younger,
And enjoy those times all over again.
Your arms have always been there
As far back as I can remember.
No matter how far apart we may be
Or how close the gap fastens
I smile at the thought of you.
& I thank the lord above for the privilege
To be able to call you mom.
God couldn't have thought of anyone better

Happy Mother's Day! !
