Careful what you wish for
not all dreams are made to own.
You build a wall around you
no surprise you're now alone

Be careful who you turn to
when you wander off life's track.
Control will keep you prisoner
and you'll find there's no way back

Be careful who you heed to,
whose words you think are true,
with tales that have no substance
all designed to brainwash you

Be careful when you're needy
they sense that you are weak.
The words they feed your mind with
are the only ones you speak

Be careful when you hurt me
my emotions torn apart
You wound without a conscience
and destroy a loving heart
