Haunting Memories Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Haunting Memories

Rating: 5.0

Five years are gone
Since last I saw your face
I am slowly pulling on
But father
The unconditional love you gave
Is forever gone

The house remains strong
It can weather many storms
Your chair is still in place
But father
The sense of security
Is forever gone

Family and friends are around
With their laughter the house resounds
Caring and sharing are there
But father
The soulful eyes searching for me
Are forever gone
