Haunted House Comments

Another example of Robinson's liking for the Italian sonnet, at which he excelled. I like this poem very much. It hints at a ghost's presence, and he saw 'some chairs that were like skeletons of home'. An elegant ending; which expresses the opinion of the townsmen.
