This one is really very literal. I like it, in a way that it tells it's story with out excess and it's imagry hits the spot!
The dedication and hatred for the enemy reminds me of Indigo Montoya in The Princess Bride.
And then there's always 'Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster; and if you gaze into the abyss the abyss gazes into you.'-Nietzsche. The theme of which is expressed perfectly in the last little bits with the moral dilemma.
