Hashish In The Candy Dish Poem by D.N. Rebb

Hashish In The Candy Dish

Rating: 5.0

Listen up now, I'll be gone for a while
Don't need no judge to put me on trial
There's clothes in the closet, with style
Now don't you cry, it's alright, just smile
I'll be on the run, ahead by a mile
If you need to call me, please just dial
Short on cash, grab the dish from kitchen isle
You can sell its contents to Cousin Kyle
Trust only him, the rest are hostile
I'll be back when things compile

There's hashish in the candy dish
Not everyone's favorite wish
There's hashish in the candy dish

Aye, Honey. Is the coast clear?
Been gone now for nearly a year
There's a Johnny-come-lately, I hear
You need to make him disappear
Cocaine has become my new career
Care to join this parade, my dear?
Bring that candy dish out here
I've got somethin' better to cheer
So don't continue livin' in fear
Just love your new financier

There was hashish in the candy dish
Freebase snow now flourishes
There was hashish in the candy dish

That's funny. I was writing it in a Rap-style. Never thought of Cheech and Chong; but more fitting. (I saw them live a few years back - and though a bit dated humor, I still found them funny)

Reminiscent of Dr Timothy Leary and good ole Gonzo! ! ! And of course The Merry Prankster himself Ken Kesey!
