Masterly - It reminds me of my father - he always had to go into ironmongers and hardware shops, wherever they were, it was almost an addiction or a duty! And the smell! You have captured them to perfection Michael. Egal Bohen..

This is a delight...and who knew such poetry could come from a place of hardware, tidy or not? Who ever had a purchase in a hardware (or any other shop) have a 'hint of allegory' about it? (Perhaps beauty is in the eye of the beholder and allegory is in the poet's eye.) Well-done, Michael. Raynette
