A well illustrated poem on the gloomy aspect of every day life. Pollution is a serious concern and your poem strikes a chord. Heartiest congratulations for being chosen as the Member Poem of the Day.

Thinking of our polluted environment on New Year’s Day or any other day can pull any one down. Poem weaves these feeling so beautifully with dark images taken from winter’s landscape. Loved it. Congratulations for a well chosen Member poem place.

We dread and at the same time welcome new year, for the dread is like a malign invisible presence, never leaving us and one day it might push us into the brink of eschaton keeping the detrimental objects in view deplorably remaining present in our environment.........deserves P.O.D.....THANKS FOR SHARING.....very well composed.....10

I tighten the mask around my face and tread slow through the busy bazaar lanes. I buy a bouquet of wilting roses and wait for that Happy Day! What's imminent, I shudder with a sudden start... Everytime when nears a new year... I fear of a cruel eschaton! ? - - - - - Dangers to earth's environment have been portrayed so nicely . Congratulations for being selected as the Poet of the Day.

It is a great irony to present red rose in the New Year day wearing a face mask! Yes, clean Earth only can make all pure and fresh air to live happily to celebrate New Year in happiness! Congratulations to you for selecting your poem as Member Poem of the Day! Right choice!
