Such a tender love between a man and his pet...........very touching. I hope your pain turns to happy memories soon. Sincerely, Mary
Well you know how I feel about felines Uriah...this was such a beautiful poem and I enjoyed it as always!
Uriah: As a lover of the feline species, I definitely connected with this piece. I love the metaphysical turn and by the by, I disagree with Raynette. The word feathers is definitely linked to the idea of the Angels & by extension their wings. I think she may have missed that reference. A sweet, hopeful and loving poem! (10 from me.) HDC
this is a poem deeply felt. Nothing beautiful is ever really lost. Thanks for sharing it, Uriah. The last stanza is filled with light. Regards, Sandra
Your last stanza is so full of hope. Wish you'd write a whole poem around that last stanza. There are some nice things in this one, Uriah, but throw out 'feather.' It doesn't belong in a poem about a kitten. Just my opinion, of course. Raynette
Lovely poem Uriah.. I have cats too and you can tell the difference between their unselfish and unconditional love and the one that most people have to offer. well done! HBH
