One cycle older
Another year sweeter
One day much brighter
Out of hundreds I have picked
A flower called a friend
One with true beauty
Wisdom to match understanding
Knowledge to bring gladness
Sweetness to pass kindness
Warmth to erase sadness
Smiles to make one elated
Presence to feel comforted
As life rivers flow
Continue to grow
As a special flower
I can call my friend
