Happy Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Happy

Happy

Not many are happy
But I am!

In mirror see Arab,
Invaders…

Hear hooves of horses
Splash the waters.

They cross the rivers,
See the swords cut flesh.

Unlike most nationalists
I am a realist,
Arabs came as saviours.

Many of the Persians
Were begging Zoroaster:
"Please end corruption
Of leaders, preachers! "

Together, powerful,
Teachers and unfaithful
Had fallen in swamp!

And result?

See the same in mirror
USA's reflection,
Background is Romans
And Greeks, Ottomans…

History is wave-like
It repeats and rolls on
Therefore, I am happy!

Saw Yankees closed eyes
Till corrupted White House.

Confused, I question:
"And the next superpower? "
