Happiness

Is it the first color at dawn,
Or the first shadow that comes to be,
Or the spirits that fly,
Twisting through the air,
Or the thoughts that never move,
Or is it the night,
Waiting in the sky,
For one to cry,
And why does the sun seem to dropp below,
Below to the ocean blue,
And does one wait in a corner
For a sound of their beating heart,
Is it in a bright grin,
Or tear that falls from the sky,
Is in the abandoned corners of the deserts,
Or dancing off with the dreamers,
Waiting for one to see,
Life is not one’s personal story,
For the rainbow is not all one color,
Or one personality,
For the darkness is filled with thousands,
Thousands for star’s flickering light,
Is the moon forever in the sky,
Or does it drift off to another,
So when we see,
The day is fleeting,
Fleeting to the south,
We know our souls will unite,
To smile across the globe of heaven,
And wonder why did we not see it before,
Before in each other’s eyes.
