Happiness Poem by Ray Hansell

Happiness

As soon as I read those words
I knew they were from you
No one's words can touch my heart
The way that yours do

Your words spoke of kindness
From a kind and gentle soul
The words echoed in my mind
I almost lost control

But I gained my composure
As I read your words
I closed my eyes as a gentle breeze
Sounded like a voice once heard

I sat there for hours
Memorizing every line
When I finished I just knew
Your words were genuine

I always seemed to get amazed
How words can set a heart free
But I guess it's not so much the words
But the person behind them who sent them to me
