Happiness Poem by George Kaluwa

Happiness

Rating: 5.0

From the pangs of the past
Extends the callous claws
That craw hope away
From our immortal souls
Acquainting us with the adage
‘All that glitters is gold'

And yet you hoped so soon
Engulfing us in a cloud of love
Vaporizing us into this thing called
Love affair
The night you said ‘Then we good'
The words beckoned us
To the new found hope
A lasting hop that's perched us
On a different past

In this dawn together we
Sail in deep ecstatic sea
Full of foam of lovely emotion
And we stride in length
To the aisles of the moon and stars
Hand in hand leaving scars
Of our names on
The palms of the brightest star
Love is good
