Richard, great work. There is something here that reminds me of The Werewolves of London. I can just imagine Wolfman Jack giving your poem an official and solemn reading in honour and celebration of Halloween. Awesome, Richard.

Wow! M.J., I love that song! And all of Warren Zevon's songs. And Wolfman Jack was one of mine all-time favourite disc jockeys. So that's a great honour! Thank you so much for your great response!

As I hail from India, I have not much of an idea about Halloween. But I have read about this festival..Remembering the dead, martyrs and saints is its central purpose.Halloweens are supposed to be fun and may be an act where we people should get rid of their fear of the dead or ghost and visit cemeteries to light candle and remember them.Playing prank on each other, wearing masks like ghosts etc are some fun activities people engage while celebrating Halloween. But if such activities taken too far may turn into something bizarre and really bad, as the poet reveals in this brilliant imaginative write.Let me quote- - He dressed like The Grim Reaper She like the Devil's Screamer They vandalized the mausoleum With their morbid horror museum Their bottle of courage being Kentucky Whiskey They drank and drank until they got wickedly crazy

Depicting horror but generally tight as a theme. It tends to shoot one's mind to the stygian world. Much kudos for an apt portrayal of one's poetic prowess. Cheers.
