Haikus 11 Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Haikus 11

the alchemist said
I can't turn lead into gold
the Ginkgo laughed

*
sometimes no one
no one laid a hand on us
and we were happy

*
what apparatus
did you use to reach the stars
whilst opal mining

*
Oyster

Take a knife and pear
Apart an oyster shell
The doors to your soul

*
Stallion

Lustrous wavy hair
With a mane so thick it proves
Fighting dominance

*
What delicacies
Rose petals--pearls before swine
social gatherings

*
men and animals
have natural enemies
none more so than you

*
messengers from God
the dandelion's ferris wheel
ingots of gold

*
strangers meeting
it's another dusk and dawn
sun and moon moment

*
it's child's play at best
loving you every day
sunshine or rain

*

we are all brushed - tarred
with the same awful feathers
fathers and mothers
