Haiku On Long Paths

Bricks splinter under my feet
Leave all presumptions
Walking the long path alone.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Once we set our path, we must walk it for no one can walk it for us. It can happen that we will falter and our feet struggle with the roughness of the path, but we cannot stop. Perhaps a companion can help make the path more bearable, but still it requires your determination to walk the path.
