How a tiny Haiku can paint a characteristic picture of a season like autumn / winters, is evident here in this poem. Thanks.
Beautiful haiku. Autumn is preparing us for winter. Beautifully presented. Loved it.
This is a poem about movement in nature - that is, from one season to another, and the poem is wise because it knows we cannot stop this movement - but we can prepare for what's to come, thus, the blanket-making. Living in Minnesota, where the four seasons are in such stark contrast, I have often made the distinction between AUTUMN AS LATE SUMMER and AUTUMN AS EARLY WINTER. Your poem focuses on the second. I hope our autumn in 2014 stays as long as possible - autumn as late summer!
Small, nice and true, thick wooly clouds of autumn reminds us of thick wooly blankets of coming winter :)
Beautiful clouds fluffy and delightful. Nice haiku. Thank you.
Wonderful haiku indeed....Valsa....a great imagery with lots of insights crafted brilliantly.......
ooooh! i really want to wrap the woollen rug and cradle in the arms of autumn wind that may take me in a swish to some magical land like the flying carpet of alladin......so dreamy
The autumn sky of an ideal strip of land is perceived here. But I am afraid the winter rugs of the sky may be very faint in many parts of India.
Lot to imagine here. Great haiku. I too just posted Autumn (Acrostic) .
nice image with heaps of fluffy wool set to make winter rugs i like the thought
Wonderful imagery and imaginary. A beautiful haiku on Autumn has been portrayed astutely.
