These are opposite metaphors of existence: the desperate activity of the butterfly contrasted to the resigned quiet melting of candle. The two categories of time are vividly differentiated.

Candle melts itself and offers to feed the flame that burns up the candle, sans a self gain. The flower offers nectar to a butterfly, for it's own gain. Both these are life events to ponder about. Thanks for sharing.
