Quite right! Such external obsevances won't make a person pure. What is needed is an inner change! Meaningful Haiku!

Thank you Valsa George. You said it rightly. It's not the external look that decides the merrit

The poem reminds that we should change ourselves then only spiritual enlightenment can be obtained.

This is a great philosophical poem. If one has no devotion and faith on God, no deep in the Ganges or sleep under Banyan enlightens one. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Kumaramaniji. The God who know everything can recognise the superflous devotion and a heart felt one

Nicely penned one.... Probably, it's a senryu. Thank you for sharing with us.

It can if one keeps in mind the connection that exists between a river and a tree and us and that Supreme spirit that pervades and energizes this unique creation. Liked the haiku just don’t agree with thought.

Thank you Savithaji. You have commented positively on my haiku. I was really trying to point out the superfluous spirituality and the sincere one. Thank you
