Haephastus Poem by Caroline Bulleck

Haephastus

Perpetual heat burns in his brain
So deep his heart burns like coal.
The fire rages within his soul
Consumes all that is sane.
Embers glow and drop from his hair.
Sparks jump from his finger tips.
Flames erupting from his lips,
Footsteps leave soot everywhere.
His skin crackles with light
He exhales smoke with each word
Smoldering, his eyes can be heard
As those cinders stare, burning bright
