Growing Poem by Patricia Denise Newman

Growing

I'm watching my daughter learning to sow
seeds into small pots hoping they'll grow
into bright flowers, tomatoes and peas
whatever happens I'm sure it will please
my husband and daughter as they bend to their task
it's lovely just watching them - all that I ask
is they keep all the compost, the pots and all else
outside in the garden and not on my shelves.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am housebound at the moment so watching everything going on in the garden is my pleasure, especially when it involves my husband and daughter working together.
