Groundkeeping Poem by Bonnie Collins

Groundkeeping

Rating: 5.0

weeds were growing everywhere in disgrace
dusting away the dead grass, and pulling out the
unattended weeds, the tears started to flow

I do hope the summer mums will withold the
blazing sun with the dry season ahead

At least the guardian angel is in and I planted
that by your name, I am sure you will be pleased
now

My tears now have dried for the time being, but
my heart will always be with you daddy

I think this is a very moving poem. When my father passed away, each of the four children purchased a small tree to remember him by. It helps a little. Thanks

Your Dad, may have had, a favorite flower he planted his dedicated love, in each flower -- enchanted! He kissed your heart with every bloom! , but one was given to you perfection through your daddy's eyes, this one was meant for you!

It is the trivial seemingly unimportant things that touch the deepest cord. A beautiful poem of grief and the loss of one who matters. Gently penned. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
