Grief commands the heart making tears flow
Forcing surrender to ruthless whirlpool of despair
With days bleak and each minute full of sorrow.
Memories of you, so vivid, are all that remain
While you rest grave deep silent and coffin dead
Lost to sight and sound, breaking the heart asunder.
Death, sly, ruthless came calling unexpected
Changing lives forever, switching off the light.
Now, only darkness without joy or laughter
Without you my soul has lost its warmth and glow.
Kneeling at your grave I hear a desperate scream
Piercing, and coming from deep within my soul,
Overwhelming, I cry out against your death
My scream only God in Heaven can also hear.
So deeply touching and moving write. A well expressed poem.
