Grey Skies And Memories Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Grey Skies And Memories

In the greyness of morning,
I sit and I write.
My garden lies silent,
Not a bird seen in flight.

I long for the blue skies
of summer once more,
Thoughts take me back,
to those moments before.

When days on the beach,
many walks through the park,
Filled each precious hour,
Oh how life left its mark.

For each moment I spent,
With those loved ones now gone,
Will stay with me always,
As my life moves on.

The rain slowly patters,
The sky is still grey,
But by sharing those moments,
You're here everyday.
