Green Hummingbird Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Green Hummingbird

Rating: 5.0

Sunshine was scintillating, for it was just past idle noon,
As the orange summer sun, endlessly chased after the moon.
I perceived a pretty hummingbird, upon a giant purple bloom,
Its irridescent green coloring, creating memories of June.

It was in heart of summer, and golden sunlight hurt my eyes,
Like the stinging tears that come, when making sad goodbyes.
The heat was upon us, with hummingbirds and red butterflies,
And the green bird kept on humming, in a year of dragonflies.

You for surely captured the beauty of the humming bird sucking the flower in your poem. Your poem is as wonderful as the picture. Full ***********

Hummingbird are sweet little angel. Your poem reminded me of a small sweet bird which visited my balcony a day or two ago. Beautiful composition full of positivity of sun and persistence of hummingbird.
