First welcome to PH.Well, this poem really portrays the bond between a teacher and a student.Teacher has done his/her responsibility.Your teacher understood your feelings and read your mind and recognized your talents.Being a teacher should do that.Your teacher really got you to the correct track.I must say thank you to your great teacher.Good luck....Nice poem.

Hi Caitlin - Welcome to PH. Greece is an amazing country with a wondeful history. Greek Ladies have always been independent - beautiful and powerful in the home and in the community. All the Greek Ladies I have met have been awesome. They make wonderful Teachers. Your poem is lovely and gives us a beautiul verbal portrait - of your Teacher - and her influence on you in repect of your love of poetry. Your comments speak for themselves. 'They hold their heads high' - 'They are strong women' - 'She is the reason I have started writing' - 'She is my Teacher and I listen to her'. Your last line will be an encouragement to all the members of the PH Family who are Teachers - including myself. I score it a TEN but my scores are not registering at the moment - sorry. Love in Poetry - JOHN (UK) .
