Greed in renunciation

Love, the feeling never abundant
Wanted it more, to flow in radiant
Richness, nothing to contend
Never satisfied to pretend
Things, how much ever we had
Always wanted more to be glad
Pride, fame and recognition
Never satisfied the egos in abundance
Then one day
Like a suns brightest rays
The thought of renunciation
All the desires started to disappear
A new path to thread in faith and fear
The quest began for something deep
That restlessness made me sit and weep
The new search was cruel
For it was far from reasons real
I wanted to be with HIM
In his love, in his mercy
In reputation of holiness
Searching for inner godliness
Looking for spiritual merit
Arising from human defeat
This search was deeper
Was stronger n greedier
Temples, hymns, charity
Everything in search of clarity
Then in greed, I ran all around
Then a flash second profound
Pushed me to remain calm
Hiding my face in my palm
I found the answer
The only way to prosper
Look inward for peace
With greed for more self love
Look within for meaning
With deeper devoted searching
I found my peace!
In finding HIM with in my means! ! !
