So very sorry that my thoughts oft go farther than the haiku is meant, and my bad habit is that I oft read between the lines.............and I am still doing that, I apologize, dear Mrs. Juan-Austin. Absolutely a most beautiful haiku about Great Philippine Eagle. One haiku and so many different responses. Beautiful!

I have heard elsewhere, that: Among the rarest and most powerful birds in the world, it has been declared the Philippine national bird. Once again a WOW! A powerful country declared this bird as the Philippine national bird. A most beautiful haiku created for the largest and heaviest known eagle. Dear great poetess, thank you so much, thru this amazing haiku, more knowledge have I gained. A 10 Full Score and myriad 10´s more for this giant Beauty.

I wished the inhabitants of that great and mighty country all freedom too, alike the symbol of that land. I know the truth is the reverse. How saddest. The great poetess´ her country of origin. How saddest to realize that this mighty country has a powerful government, but no soarings in their sky. I am astray the original poem´s path, so sorry.

The flight of a bird is just like poetry where the poet lets his thoughts and imagination fly. This lovely little haiku is definitely without boundaries and perfectly presents the idea of freedom in just a few words.

A lovely haiku bringing to fore many emotions. I notice 'without boundaries' to end the piece. Significant: birds follow no boundaries, so do poems that reach out to readers beyond boundaries, and skies are seamless one. Only national boundaries, when time is here to think of Earth as a whole sans boundaries.

What a dear, wonderful Poem! . Just three lines but so full of tender feeling and true love for this amazing bird, symbol of strength and freedom. The wings we don't have. I really love this and when I feel badly and sad, I will read it, to give me courage and as I think of the loving, talented Poet, that wrote it.
