Gratitude Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Gratitude

Rating: 5.0

Thank you, my friends
For being there
When I needed you most.
For opening your hearts
To a once troubled soul.
For opening your minds
To possibilities.

Thank you, my friends for taking hold of my hand
And walking with me on long roads of despair.

Thank you, my friends for giving me your bright eyes
When I cautiously traversed the dark tunnel
Saw the light leading me to your heart and soul.

Thank you for taking the time to look into my soul
Opening up healing and allowing humanness
To pervade my being and touch the souls of others

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Though the poem opens like a thanksgiving, it proceeds to a grand elevation in the concluding verses. This makes the poem an excellent read.
