A poem to look into self and expressing gratitude to the almighty - I also pray with you to sustain the blessings to all.Thank you for sharing
Your observations, your search within your being and counting your blessings are well penned with a poetic flow. It reveals your compassionate nature. Imagery well expressed. Your last stanza is so apt. I am praying from my heart And wiping Your feet with my tears O' God I kept an ocean of my Gratitude infront of You! One and only wish of mine is left behind in You, my Lord Be with me till end of this life and in very many forthcoming births!
...none noticed their sigh or cry. Good expression of oblivion. Well written in the ways of the world. Thx for sharing
This is a stunning poem! It takes us right to the heart of the unfairness of life and both the gratitude we feel for being blessed by God and the responsibility we feel to help the unfortunate. I can only applaud the humility, compassion and devotion your poem displays - those are values you have nurtured in your moral life. In terms of composition, I can also applaud your powerfully composed stanzas, each of which is filled with POETRY. There is a wonderful balance in the language of your poem, that is, the feelings and thoughts balance each other, neither one is overstated. For both its message and its style, you have a remarkable poem in Gratitude.
Your poem is commendable. It laces philosophical thoughts, observations and the pictures that we see around us beautifully well. Particularly, when you say of thoughts manifesting as words and deeds etc., I am reminded of the Bhagavad Geetha. The overriding message is undoubtedly surrender to the Almighty - which we call sharaNAgati in Sanskrit and in our native Malayalam too. Good work, Madam. Kindly let me know when you post.
What to say of this beautifully written poem of yours? Well, honestly, to avoid repetitions, I'll not add anymore words to what already pointed out by good friend Daniel Brick in his brief but wise & vibrant commentary. I cannot only say, Mallica, that I'm agnostic, so I can't express my gratitude to any ''almighty'' [unfortunately, maybe]. Yet I have to thank you for sharing your fine poetry. ''Gratitude'' is a poem I've added to my-favorite-poems list...
