Gratitude Poem by Jannpoet Versemaker

Gratitude

There Is Always Something To Be Grateful For
It's the little things that matter
Like taking time for a cup of tea
And having a little natter

Discovering a pansy flower
Self seeded and unchecked
Little smiling faces
Cheeky and per-fect

Their sunny disposition
Always giving joy
Faces turned toward the sun
Still just a little coy

Seeing but not speaking
Just brightening up our day
Giving us their essence
In a most delightful way

It's the little things that matter
So simple yet alluring
Perfect or imperfect
Their beauty is enduring

And so I praise the pansy
For it gives me so much pleasure
Growing in my garden
it is a plant that I will treasure.
