Gratitude Poem by Bharati Nayak

Gratitude

Rating: 5.0

I don't know
How many little things
Have contributed in making me
I do not know how such small things
Can make a big difference.

A word of appreciation
And a pat by the teacher
for a work well done
May change our life's course.

In a dull and depressing day
When you feel the ground receding
Under your feet
Some loving words may lift you
From the abyss.

Not only our friends
But also our foes
May have shaped
Our character.
Friend's timely help
Give us hope
Enemy's opposition
May enhance our determination
And build us as well rounded persons.

I am grateful to Almighty
Who has blessed me my life
And whose blessings
Have determined my destiny.
