Grandshaykh Poem by Yusof Mutahar

Grandshaykh

Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani
His breath was dhikr, his gaze a flame,
Reflecting realms no eyes can ever name.
Each heartbeat opened a hidden gate,
A garden where only lovers wait.

He spoke not with words, but holy stillness,
A silence the stars themselves bear witness.
Behind every veil, he saw the Friend,
The Lover in dust, without beginning or end.

Shaykh Abdullah's gaze, a lantern bright,
Shaykh Nazim's love, the guiding light.
In quiet dawn where worlds entwine,
Their hearts beat one, a sacred sign.

Together they walked where the Beloved calls,
One voice, one light, beyond time's walls.
Together they traced the Beloved's name,
Two flames that flicker with one holy flame.

No distance between, no time to bind.
Only the oceans of mercy, vast and unconfined.
