He said, "Find some moments, every day...
to enjoy this life you're living..."

"Discover the pleasure in a smile...
and the comfort of forgiving..."

He said, "Take a walk in silence..."
you don't have to travel far..."

"To see the beauty of the trees..."
or wonder at the stars..."

"Stop and smell the flowers...
play with babies...
marvel at rainbows in the sky..."

"And always stop to eat a slice...
of Grandma's apple pie..."

I have tried to live my life this way...
since Grandpa said these words to me
