Grandmother's Embrace Poem by Lindokuhle Dawordplaymind Nkosi

Grandmother's Embrace

My grandmother, so kind and wise,
With a heart as big as the skies.
She chose me out of her brood,
Her love for me, oh so good.
She helped me through college,
Her generosity, no hassle.
As I look back with a smile,
I'll cherish her all the while.

She was a rock through my life,
Through joy and pain, through strife.
She was there through thick and thin,
My love for her will never end.
Even though she is no longer here,
Her memory lives, it's crystal clear.
So as I say my final goodbye,
I'll carry her in my heart, oh, why?
Because she was family, a friend,
A love that time will never end.

Farewell, my dearest grandmother,
May you rest in peace, forever.
