I surmise you were brought up by your grandmother. No wonder her shoes carry a special significance for you.. Now I'm curious about why a Hindi-speaking lady owned a suitcase from a now-nonexistent town in Texas.

Your poem poses an intriguing mystery. An adopted child grows into an. Somehow he came back into the bosom of his family. The lifelines are reconnected. His reverie over a pair of shoes is a memorial to his grandmother.
