Oh how I love this poem and all that's in it. I have my parents Grandfather Clock that was in their foyer and is now in my front hall and it brings back happy and sad memories..It can be set to three different chimes [my favorite is Westminster] and chimes every 15 minutes than on the hour strikes the hr. that it is...It moves it's beautiful brass moon face on top to the cycle of the real moon...Once a week as I turn the key and wind up three big brass chimes it gives me pause. It's an old and beautiful piece to me which has to be serviced yearly. A clock man actually takes it all apart and brings the pieces off and does the tune up than brings them back and puts it all back together. A miracle to me how it's done and apparently becoming a lost art for with each move it is most difficult to find a person who does such...The time you speak of in here brings me back to many times that centered around in the main foyer where this jewel made its presence known. Thank you for this beautiful poem...marci.xo
