I can't tell you, Soran, how much I love sitting down and reading your comments about how my poem affected you! To me a poem is like a letter you send through the mail and await an answer to.... hoping your letter found a responsive chord in its reader, maybe gave the day an additional moment of joy or a spark of wisdom, or a feeling of " oh, you feel that way too? " . Your return letter is always uplifting and educational, my friend! ! Thank you for your wisdom and kindness

Filling your life with doggy companionship, Fall in love, and be treated like the jewel you are by the one you love But one thing I know about my sweet grand-daughter, Whatever you do, you'll always do it with kindness.

May life always be your college May you always learn more May you always expand your horizon The entire life is a learning experience. In that sense life is a university where we are taught newer things! With a university degree, learning never ends. It is an ongoing process. So each one should be a zealous student through out! A beautiful advice to your graduating grand daughter!

Valsa, your words are true- we are never without learning opportunities. I loved school and would have gotten a degree in a hundred different fields had I been wealthy. But I poke around different sites on the computer and read different books and try to keep learning but the mind isn't as agile any more. But may my granddaughters keep their minds open to all the variety this earth holds for the adventurous mind

Beautiful letter to your Grand daughter, dear Susan. So touching! I am sure the young graduate is very proud of her loving Grand parents. The best line is: " May you always make a difference in life" It is this 'difference' that makes life a joyous and a meritorious journey. A huge 10..........for the sweetest of Grandmothers..... :)

Robert, I apologize. Your comment got lost in the snowstorm of replies I was making in the comment box instead of under the comment made. Sigh. Anyway, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this effort. You give such sweet support to all of us!

Yes, indeed. I agree, Michael! Even housebound by this pandemic we can still have " more" more adventure in reading, writing, home do-overs, imaginative ways to keep touch with your friends!

Bill, You understand as always these matters of the heart! She did appreciate, that beautiful girl.... well, young woman. I find it difficult to see her as an when I have had the joy of watching her grow through all the stages of childhood and youth- -I fear I will always see her as that lovely inquisitive clever funny child... but I think none of us outgrow the need for a totally accepting hug that we can mend in!

Rini - -I have to say that I love the way you said that- - " Life is the university of dreams. " And I, being human, appreciate the lovely comment on the poem! ! !

What a fun thing to do, sharing part of your letter to your granddaughter as a poem! I have three granddaughters that are mothers now. My five great-grandchildren are so much fun, but we don't get to see much of them since the pandemic started. Thank goodness for Zoom and Duo, etc.!
