Ahmad, greetings to you and your family! Mr. Erudite, marvelous combiner of words and facts, this is a true tribute to a deserving man. I think you have provided a full school term on the subject and did so by condensing it all into musically rhythmic flowing images. You are a true teacher and very much appreciated. Thank you, indeed. Carol
I'd add Dickens, Ferenc Molnàr, Ms. Alcott (also the little women exist) and, why not, Homer. However, and rightly, children thank.
Well, it was easy to figure out you were writing about Dr. Suess, Ahmad, when you mentioned the year 1904 and his birthplace of Springfield, Massachuttes, plus the year at Oxford University in England. Though it is a long poem, it is filled both with a good story and vivid descriptions and comparisons, and features many of the illustrious titles of many of his books. All in all, despite it's length, it is a wonderful poetic tribute to the late Dr. Seuss. Carl.
A real tribute to a great author, thanks for sharing........
A warm, appealing tribute to an author who has inspired many generations of children to love books, As always, Sandra
a nice tribute..full of message and delivered well into verses..a great one... Ency Bearis
I like Dr. Seuss too. I have not read all of his books and maybe not even a good number. Your poem would be a good happening helping someone who has read most of his works to recall the good memories of them. I am not familiar with all the authors and creative people you mention, so I am at a lost in appreciating all the parts of the poem. I find it a bit exhausting with so much to read and having no experiences of most of it to remember.
