Goodnight Kenny Rogers Poem by Raimi Babatunde

Goodnight Kenny Rogers

Good night to the King of Country
If you have not died
You'll never know how death feels
Good night Kenny Roger's
You made our childhood memorable
And growing up interesting

Kenny, We were born to die
But in your songs, you live forever
Only a handful attained legendary position
Your kind comes one in ten million
Don Williams gone, Kenny Rogers gone
Oh Lord! Please don't take Dolly Parton...

Our parents smoked over your songs
They didn't make sense yesterday
But they are a light to us today
Evergreen will you be in our hearts
With songs that touches the soul
Not that of a twerking generation

The world will miss your golden voice
Thank you for the Gambler
Thank you for the Coward of the County
You belong to the golden generation
Elvis presley, John denver, Johnny cash, Jim Reeves
And my dearest music goddess Dolly Parton

Death is just a phase
We were born to die
Living thereafter is a choice
The ace I got from the gambler
Would serve me till fade
Again; thank you Kenny
Goodnight, the legend of the countryside
