My grandmother suffered a similar plight. But Irene—marrying, then birthing and schooling seven children—GIRLS— (despite her physical challenge) , even has my grandmother beat. This one is “off the charts.” Irene is smiling. A phenomenal job, Joseph. At eighty seven, I’m so glad you’re yet with us to share of your wisdom and inspiration. Thank you much. Your title caught my attention immediately, because my Grandfather's favorite song was Good Night, Irene. He used to sing it to me when I was little because he liked it and I liked hearing him sing it. Your mother-in-law sounds like she was a fantastic person, you were blessed when she entered your life in more ways than just your wife. A very inspiring poem, I loved it! Thank you for sharing.
