Goodbye For A While Poem by Ray Hansell

Goodbye For A While

She told me goodbye
But only for a while
She said I will return
I'm sure she wore a smile

She said she had some things
That needed to be done
I said, go do what you must do
Because there are things we can't outrun

Sometimes we get so busy
We lose track of time
Just when we think that we're ahead
We seem to fall further behind

Life at times is one big rush
No matter how hard we try
We wish we had some more time
To just sit down and sigh
