Good Writing - Bad Days

Good Writing - Bad Days
.
Libraries are huge
but where have gone, the footfalls?
are readers net-lured?
.
problem seems deeper
reading no longer fashion.
do authors waste time?
.
it is still deeper
has language gone for a toss?
was it a crude word?
.
youth speech is much crude
writing in books has finesse
chasm remains un-bridged
.
it is an uphill task
society going backwards
more like stone age
.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Good writing is there in plenty. But who is there to read? Children are learning some crude form of language and can't understand the sophistication in written language.
