Good Old Days Poem by Sneha R

Good Old Days

Rating: 5.0

Oh, the days
How pleasant and elated the days used to be
Unlike the fleeting world now upside down
Fleeting things, from the old to new
Calling things "Old fashioned" to calling people "Oldies"
From post cards to emails
From typewriters to keyboards to touch keyboards
From bell bottoms to skin fit to bell bottomed vintage fashion again
One thing remains as everlasting as the flowing rivers-
(Surprisingly! Someone told me the other day that the rivers have stopped flowing too)
The greed of Human Beings

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My 2nd Poem. As I sit typing "ASDFGF; LKJHJ" on my typewriter, I realise how times have slipped by and how human beings have transformed their greed for the "new" to such limits that it the pushed the good old things to antique shops and museums.

From post cards to emails From typewriters to keyboards to touch keyboards From bell bottoms to skin fit to bell bottomed.... //.... Yes, we can relate to all these things and also agree with the final finding (given in the concluding line) of the poem. Thanks dear poet. This is sonicely articulated.
