Good Ol' Marylou Poem by Richard D Remler

Good Ol' Marylou

~~~~~~~~
i heard that marylou
ate a caterpillar whole
at the breakfast table
and in her breakfast bowl.
she was oblivious and unaware,
she had not noticed it was there,
as if it were but on patrol
when it absently fell in her bowl.
and marylou denies it
and says it isn't true,
for eating caterpillars
is a thing she'd never do.
oh, but i heard she ate one
very early, just today.
and I am ever certain
it did not get away.
i have no doubt whatsoever
that she's munched on quite a few,
I've come to expect some oddish things
from good ol' marylou.
