Hi Diana - This is lovely emotive poem - giving praise to our Creator God for the blessings of each new day. Verses 1,2,3 & 4 The birds upon the tree tops sing their song The Angels raise their voices - all day long The flowers in the garden blend their hue So why shouldn't I - why shouldn't you Not praise Him too. God created the Sun and the Moon and the Solar System to ensure the Planet earth was just in the right place ecologically - to sustain life. Verses 5 & 7. Horses are wonderful - created by God to provide power for man (horse power! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !) and to give man a real understanding friend in the animal kingdom. Verses 6 & 8. We need to thank God exuberantly for each new day. God knows and understands us individualy - as you say in your poem - when our hearts are broken God gives us a sunflower morning. This softens the blow with a luxoriuos cushion of blessing and grace. Thanks for sharing - Love in poetry JOHN

I am sure God smiled when he read this poem. And the bonus for me was that Flika was my 2 year old granddaughters favourite DVD 10+++

The poet as the eyes of God - that is how I see this poem. So many live without living; see without seeing. You show the world how extraordinary is the ordinary; how the sublime lives in all of us every day. As for your Flicka - I'm not sure if this is a lament or a celebration. Perhaps they are one in the same. It is certainly glorious. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
