My thoughts on Good Friday
-not very spiritual
I often wonder does the heart ever find a home?
Jesus Christ
I'm done thinking! !
I wanna be a gambler and outlaw
live on the raw edge
like a 'Deadwood 'character
in a drunken haze
and go out like Hunter Thompson
in a roaring reckless blaze,
And I want to die loving every single one of you?
like the Lover on the bloody cross.
What a conundrum?
years of solitude
and abiding
and still a vagabond child
on the wild side.
I think it is in the inner nature of humans to shake off the traces of life every now and then, to ride a wild horse into the sunset, an urge to swim with sharks, or bungy jump off tall buildings. Some pursue the adrenaline experience whereas others compromise and write fantastic poetry. I enjoyed your spirited write :)
